OUR HISTORY

When singers in the Agassiz-Harrison communities got together to rehearse for the first time in 3 years, for their 53rd Annual Carol Festival, it was evident that they had been missing the camaraderie that comes with joyful music-making.  So in early February 2023, a new community choir was started, welcoming people of all ages and abilities.  Despite starting this venture mid-season, they performed for an enthusiastic full house for their first ever concert in early June, with music chosen to reflect why we sing and enjoy doing so.  Both choir members and audience members were humming the tunes weeks after, with one commenting "I wasn't expecting you to sound SO good!!"  With 25 members completing the season, aged 16-90, the choir looks forward to growing in numbers and skills, and becoming involved in future community events.
