Rehearsal #10 - March 25, 2026

Good afternoon singers,

I have made out the concert order, as well as a line-up order.

Next week we will stand on the "stage" and sing our full-choir songs in that order. We will focus on blend and dynamics. I am excited to rehearse in the next few weeks with the musicians, who will really add to our performance!

With the T/B then S/A sectionals last night, we corrected a few things, but now it is up to each singer to note on their own what needs attention. Please focus on the last pages (rehearsal G/measure 52-end) of WE RISE AGAIN (new harmonies and a key change). As well, review your "new" harmony part for the chorus of NORTHWEST PASSAGE and the "Oo/Oh/a" for the verses, and THE PARTING GLASS. Thanks!

A few reminders:

  • Next week the ALTOS and BARITONES will bring a small sweet or savory snack to share for our social time.

  • The extra sectional practices options are FRIDAY April 10th (6:30-8:00 & 8:00-9:30) and SATURDAY April 11th (9:00am-10:30 & 10:30-noon). If you didn't note your availability on the sign up sheets, look at your calendars and mark it next week please.

  • The cold/flu that is going around seems to last for 6 weeks - we are on the home stretch, so (fingers crossed) try to stay healthy!

  • New members: our concert dress is black bottoms and white top (ladies - preferably with full sleeves or at least close to the elbow)

In harmony,

Brenda
