Rehearsal #3 - Cascade Chorus - January 28, 2026

Hello singers,

For this week, please continue to review everything we’ve covered so far. That includes:

– O Canada – practice tracks

– Northwest Passage – practice tracks

– Skidegate Love Song – practice tracks

– The Hockey Song (men sing along with the YouTube recording for now)

Everyone is very welcome to practice ahead.

One important note: please do not listen to the performance recordings of This Is My Home. The rhythms in those versions differ from our arrangement and will be very difficult to “unlearn.” Please use Brenda’s practice tracks only for this piece.

Ladies are also invited to look ahead at the women-only repertoire, as we’ll begin working on those songs next week.

Looking ahead to rehearsals:

– Next week (Feb. 4): men will be dismissed early for ladies’ sectionals

– The following week (Feb. 11): ladies will be dismissed early for men’s sectionals

As always, please remember to bring a pencil for marking your music, and continue using the main Google Drive folder for this season as well as the YouTube listening links shared earlier for home practice. Attendance and home practice really do make a difference in keeping us all on track together.
